Product Overview

The BEC-817KG is a microcomputer-based voltage monitoring relay specifically designed for 6–35 kV substation and power plant automation systems, providing complete voltage measurement, monitoring, and control functions. The device features flexible communication interfaces and can be installed independently in power distribution equipment or integrated into relay protection panels, forming a complete automation system together with other relay protection and automation devices.

Protection Function

The device offers comprehensive voltage abnormality protection configurations, covering overvoltage protection, positive-sequence overvoltage protection, negative-sequence overvoltage protection, zero-sequence overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection, and positive-sequence undervoltage protection, meeting the requirements for voltage abnormality detection under various operating conditions. It also integrates frequency abnormality protection functions, including underfrequency islanding trip, overfrequency islanding trip, underfrequency load shedding (UFLS), and frequency-based reclosing, as well as breaker failure protection and binary input protection, ensuring reliable response of the power system during voltage and frequency abnormalities.

Control Function

The device supports local and remote control operations, meeting the requirements of unmanned and smart substations. The main control functions include local/remote open/close operations, remote setting modification, remote protection enabling/disabling, and programmable protection/signal output configuration. The device also supports CT power harvesting and split trip functions for specific application scenarios.
